Here at Irish Doodles of Western Australia, every puppy is raised to be a lifelong companion to the family or individual who chooses to adopt him or her. These puppies are not just "another puppy", each puppy is one-of-a-kind, with its own unique personality. We aim to know each of their personalities individually so that we can match you with the perfect one. They have wonderful temperaments; they are incredibly smart and make excellent additions to loving families. Before they leave our home, they get to interact with children and our other dogs, making them very sociable.

Our puppies are not just raised, they're nurtured. They're introduced to various environments, sounds, and people from an early age to ensure they grow up well-adjusted and socialized, ready to become an integral part of your family. We use the Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and Early Scent Introduction (ESI) programs. Both ENS and ESI have been proven to result in better overall health, encourages the neurological system which improves the growth and development of the puppy's immune system, cardiovascular system, and stress tolerance. Our puppies will be vet checked at six weeks, vaccinated and microchipped. Our puppies are also wormed from 2 weeks, fortnightly.

DNA testing is carried out on our breeding dogs, as well as a comprehensive annual vet checks.

Irish Doodles are a hybrid of the Irish Setter and the Poodle. While designer breeds are relatively new themselves, the Irish Doodle is even newer. There isn't a well-documented history for the Irish Doodle, but it is assumed that it was created in an attempt to combine the non-shedding coat of the Poodle with the happy, friendly nature of the Irish Setter.

Irish Doodles are perfect dogs for those who don’t want to be cleaning up fur around the house and in the car all the time. The Poodle is popular because it hardly sheds, so the Irish Doodle will also feature a coat that is long, wavy, and shaggy and that sheds minimally and doesn’t require a lot of grooming to keep it under control.

Well-socialized Irish Doodles are good with children and other pets. They are a suitable breed for kids and are known to be playful, energetic, and affectionate around them. Due to their friendly and compassionate nature, Irish Doodles can excel as therapy dogs, providing comfort and support to those in need.

Our F1B Irish Doodles are medium sized dogs. They are generally tall, but lean. They typically enjoy a relatively long and fulfilling lifespan and can live for approximately 12 to 15 years with proper care. Genetics, diet, exercise, and overall health maintenance influence their longevity.

Irish Doodles are generally well-mannered and not excessive barkers. However, like any dog, they may bark to alert you to something unusual or if they are feeling playful.
